I realize it's probably a fool's errand of a task, but the re-welcome of Janet Mills- by whatever magic necessary- could actually be the best way to defeat the ever indomitable Susan Collins. Platner is certainly talented and gets his message over well, yes. But I suspect he has a pending closet full of skeletons. Waiting to open the door and say "we have a lot more notes from the underworld which voters will not care for." This guy is not clearly free of taint, all of which will soon become visible. Mills, OTOH, is old but proven warhorse. Who has and can most likely continue to govern cleanly.
Which will it be? The young maverick with no proven track record, and saddled by tattoo taint? Or the old gal whose age may not be reason enough to retire her from service? Age alone does not define ability or competence, in an age in which many of us are fully functional, well into our eighties. Need an example? How about Nancy Pelosi? IOW things are not so simple nowadays.
Being a vegan myself, I didn't know it was considered a negative. If Talarico is a vegetarian for philosophical reasons (not actually vegan which means NO animal products like eggs and dairy) then I don't think he'd break down and eat burgers so he'd win a Senate race. I know I wouldn't....
