Trump knows he can never be amongst those who are revered and respected as the greatest of all men. His only hope is to be so mean and ferocious that he can be the best of the worst. But even that he can’t achieve because his incompetence and blunders make him weak and insignificant. This will make him unpredictable, but might force the brain fog congress to wake up and start acting. Otherwise they will fall beside their leader. Someone who walks into a room full of dignitaries and calls out “I’m the boss” has got serious psychological issues.
I'm not sure that he does know how much he falls short of "reverence and respect". He clearly lives in a bubble of sycophants, and never hears a word of truth. Any negative press is obviously "fake news".
‘There’s the rub’ as Shakespeare would say. But the pushback can only come from the people. He tries with his Bully Pulpit to mow us all down, but I do believe the masses, beginning to wake and be motivated, will in the end get the country back into shape. A bully must be brought to justice and all his aiders and abettors with him.

I'm so glad you included some photos of the contractor for the reflecting pool - I know you shouldn't judge people by a couple of photos, but... Your interview with Molly was once again sharp fast and incisive- thanks Molly! Your interview with Sofia - what happened? I always love your interviews but this one was all over the shop?? It was like you were sending darts onto a mudmap of a potential interview. A couple of the questions you asked her were so long and rambling I had no idea what on earth you were asking her. I'm so glad you had her on as she has great experience and with it should be a wealth of knowledge, but this interview didn't bring that out. Thanks goodness for the dogs... She does not deserve the attention she is receiving. Trump may have made up all the information, but there are pictures betraying her "not so iron lady" demeanor. She does not represent shattering a patriarchal glass ceiling in Italy; rather she is there because she strongly upholds patriarchy. All the attention she is receiving these days is rekindling her appeal, which had been badly wounded before this last Trump's offense.
