I am more left leaning (like Mr Hale) but I am a Daughter of the Church and do my best. I really appreciate Mr Hale making the Encyclical accessible and I'm going to check out the website he shared!
In focusing on the AI, one is in danger of not seeing how broad the Encyclical is. It provides a basis for a doctrine of social justice starting with the principle of universal destination, which contradicts the conservative Republican doctrine that if you make it,it’s yours. He lays out where the limits on this doctrine lie. Very sophisticated ethical argumentation.
I got so much out of these explanations of what’s behind Pope Leo’s communications. To my embarrassment, my brain’s been absorbing his remarks the same way it absorbs the topical social media snippets of people I follow. Thanks for reminding us that the Pope’s thoughts revolve around the global, historic, and long-term fate of humanity.

They claim he acts as go-between in shadows out of sight,

Where they allegedly dished out seven-thousand for a post.
From seven-hundred thirty million more, the budget brightly bled,
To pump out disinformation and to mess with what is read. 💸
But listen well, my comment-crew, and keep your focus clear,
We only deal in verified and grounded knowledge here.

We know the laws, we know the men, we know the pardon came,
But linking them in secret deals remains an unproved game.

Vance has no concept of the common good. The concept of common good is central to the Encyclical’s argument.
