I don't know about you but I find the dogs offer wonderful comfort amid the various dramas/traumas going on. They know what's important! - food, play, kind parents, time outdoors and other four-legged creatures to share their reality!.

The Nobel Peace Prize should go to those who bring real peace—not those giving Putin time to prepare for another war.

Putin, backed by China, Iran, and proxies, pretends Russia has won while struggling to send reinforcements without full mobilization. Soaring military costs and sanctions are crushing Russians' livelihoods, driving up prices. Now is the time to intensify pressure, securing a just peace for Ukraine—not surrendering to Putin’s ultimatums and his anti-Western coalition’s attempts to humiliate democracy. And the polls show a disapproval rate for the democratic party at an all time high. And why is that? I will submit it is because the current administration lies constantly and no one challenges those lies. Buoyed by the lack of challenge to those lies, the lies become bolder and the possum party still does not challenge the lies. Currently, it's a death spiral while we all await some miraculous white knight to ride in and make everything whole again. There ain't no white knight. You get Chuck Schumer instead. The other aspect of this is that the American electorate is actually really stupid. Indeed, we have pockets of resistance but that's not enough to make the administration even vaguely cautious. At this point I view it as very likely that we won't have more elections. The administration will at least attempt that. I did not used to think that. The ides of March have come and gone. Next significant date. April Fool's.

Thank you for brining on the alys thoughtful and engaging David Frum. Please bring him back often. Also consider bringing on Bill Galston; his intelligence shown through brightly on the now defunct "Beg to Differ" and is missed.

I would say most Americans are outraged by the Canadian comments. It’s not funny , not at all. I turn the clip off if I have to listen to his idiotic comments about Canada. I encourage Canadians to boycott, don’t wait for govt tariffs- don’t travel here, don’t buy from US.

Many come to Florida for the winter season! Hope all are reconsidering and changing their plans for a vacation? Any place but Florida! And, now add the United States.

We love the Canadians but the orange guy in the White House does not!

Canada will not crack from economic warfare. I think it’s likely that Trump will increase his threats over time ,as he becomes more frustrated. At some point I think it likely that he says something like,”We may have to go up there and straighten them out”.

This, when it happens, it must of course be taken as the deadly threat of invasion that it is, but Americans have always thought of themselves as the good guys. I think they would be transfixed to find that they are becoming history’s villains.

Certainly not the professional armed services. We have no worries about 10th Mountain Division in Fort Drum just half an hour south of the border and many others and would not cast aspersions on their exemplary character. We are concerned that federalized national guard units moved from other parts of the country might be a dangerous threat though.

Trump is like a mad little boy who, when he doesn’t get everything he wants, he just starts breaking everything he can…i think there is a lot of resentment over losing the 2020 election as well as his impeachments and he wants what Putin has…a dictatorship and he doesn’t care what he has to destroy to get it and knows the Republicans are too cowardly to stop him.

Charlie Great interview with David (try to get on more frequently one of the most informed interviewers) Unfortunately when you brought up about what Trump is doing to Canada ( being a Canadian) after bringing up the past history he never brought up his thoughts of Trumps actions.
