Glad you're back, Charlie, we'll take whatever occasional drop-ins we can get! 👍♥️

Part of me thinks it's disrespectful to mention the following anywhere within a mile of where That Forking Guy has trod, but consider the garlic and silver waved -- here's what Union general Joshua Chamberlain, at a commemoration 23 years after the war, said to "watch" for at Gettysburg:

-----

“In great deeds, something abides. On great fields, something stays. Forms change and pass; bodies disappear; but spirits linger, to consecrate ground for the vision-place of souls… generations that know us not and that we know not of, heart-drawn to see where and by whom great things were suffered and done for them, shall come to this deathless field, to ponder and dream; and lo! the shadow of a mighty presence shall wrap them in its bosom, and the power of the vision pass into their souls.”

-----

Let's hope.

Oh, my condolences to you. I still cry thinking of a beloved cat I lost in 2002. If there’s truly a heaven, he’ll be there to greet me. ❤️

“And when Trump called for the execution of General Mark Milley, it didn’t have nearly the explosive effect it should have. “I had expected every website and all the cable news shows to lead with a story about Trump demanding the execution of the highest military officer in the country,” this magazine’s editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, told The Washington Post. “If Barack Obama or George W. Bush had done so, I’m sure [the news media] would have been all over it.”

And yet, today Barr and Pence decided that Biden was a bigger threat to America than Trump, as they will cast a vote for Trump.

Last week it was Sununu amd Bolton. How long before Haley succumbs to the MAGS mob, and conservative forces throwing their weight behind a morally bankrupt scoundrel?

Can someone please explain how all these so called “never Trumper’s” who have all said that Trump committed treason, acts like a mob boss, threatens our allies, and bestows praise on some of the most malignant and dangerous dictators on the planet, yet is better fit to serve than Biden?

Exactly which Biden policies are these people against? They talk of wokeness when Biden hasn’t enacted any policies promoting such things. I thought republicans were about small government and individual freedoms. So why do they expect Biden to police college campuses or multinational corporations? Are they looking to institute a Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice like Iran and the Taliban?

So someone please explain what these nut jobs and duplicitous scoundrels find so despicable about Biden and his agenda?

Oh wait, I forgot it’s all about power, money and control. I guess they are more concerned with instituting a Christian version of Sharia Law on this nation, otherwise I don’t see how they could support Trump and ever claim he’s fit to serve.

The only thing these people have made perfectly clear, is while Trump is definitely unfit to serve; neither are they!…:)

As an English major, I love these interpretations of Trump's Gettysburg speech.

Pete has a big soul.

Auggie and Eli look like your bodyguards: two stalwart

I can't get past the genocide in Gaza.

I am proud of Johnson: tomorrow they all vote.

Ukraine. Fingers crossed. Push Putin back.

I await more pictures of Auggie and Eli.

Upon seeing the video of Trump's musings about Robert E Lee and Gettysburg multiple times(for the comic effect) I have to admit I'm looking forward to the next gem that he comes up with. But I must say that his Gettysburg address has become ear wax that I can't get out of my head.It is an atrocious sound, like hearing "Who let the dogs out" (not your dogs Charlie!) You just can't unhear it.
