maybe a small thing, but does it bother anyone else that a person appointed by the President of the United States, even this one, uses language like "up his butt" on national television? Ick.
I’ve decided to adopt “It’s never going to be me” as a reminder over the coming 4 years. That’s in addition to my mantra— courtesy of you, Charlie— that I’m not the crazy one. Survival (and resistance) mode here I come!
The overload of EOs, foreign speeches, pronouncement and off the cuff comments is designed to so bombard us with shtuss that we have trouble finding what DonnieFelon is actually focusing on. Is cutting federal employees more important than Ukraine? Musk's incels over AfD support? Kennedy Center coup over Eric Adams? How to rate in importance?
I just looked at Apple Maps and they’ve done the same thing! Gulf of America! Someone on the comment section somewhere said that MapQuest is still OK. I guess I’ll check them out next I’m running out of maps. Luckily I can’t go anywhere for four weeks because of my broken hip! Nonetheless it makes me very mad all of it. I wrote somewhere else that The CEO of Uber that I use a lot, despite having very diversity friendly stuff on their website, gave over $1 million to Trump, as did the company. They are caving in, all the rich guys..
In economics 101. There is an actual term for the action created when the Government spends money. It is called "The Power of Ten" and it refers to the rolling action created when an entity puts the utility of monetary value in motion. It is the intangible conception of greasing the wheels, so to speak. It might not be this year. It might not be next year but, Ive witnessed calculus majors fall on their face in concepts of economics. Elon will too. The layoffs of 100,000 government employees and tariffs making businesses unpredictable and untrustworthy. He will take America with him but it wont be the dream of space. It will be the nightmare of recession and possible economic depression. By allowing oil companies to drill where they want and the banks to deal where they want, how do we think this is going to end? There are no 2 institutions, created by aristocrats and greed, on the planet that have proven to be less trustworty to the common man then these 2 systems.
Nice to see the dogs enjoying the new fallen snow.
Is it just me, or does Emil Bove look like a Disney villain straight out of Central Casting?
My guess is that Bondi and Bove used this episode to see who would cave and sign the order because either of them could have signed the order. Also, if Bondi or Bove had signed off and the order was found unconstitutional or illegal by the courts, it would be on Bondi/Bove to pay the price. Now those people that signed the order are lackies of Bondi and will be called upon to do other vile things. Most likely, they will be the first ones thrown under the bus if things ever go sideways.
It is my understanding that The Federalist Society is in a tizzy over this DOJ mess since they facilitated it. Half of the organization thinks that the Rule of Law needs to be upheld and the other half just do not give a shit because they are getting what they wanted. I expect to see that organization split over this debacle.
I find it hilarious that Paramount is still discussing the ramifications of settling the CBS case. I thought that was a done deal. Now the Board and senior management are having second thoughts about the implications.
The argument over the Gulf of Whatever is so stupid on both sides. It's just as stupid as the one we fought over his penis, er ... crowd size, at his first inauguration (both are small). I intend to call it the Gulf of Mexico since the rest of the world calls it that.
At least they stood up. At least they still have some moral compass. And they are going to pay a price for it. It's easy to criticize the people on the right who are standing up to Trump now. I'm sure down the line, Democrats and progressives will suffer defeat because of this corrupt administration. But first, they knock down the opposition in their own camp.
Oh please. These Federalist Society a-holes got what they wanted when Trump got elected, actively enabled him, made sure he has almost unlimited power, and now they are crying that he has gone too far?

When do some of trump admin behavior/ actions become considered to be treasonous?
Just asking?!
Bove is a dead ringer for Nosferatu

Maybe this will inspire journalists to do real investigative work. These people are sloppy and leave plenty of things behind

Or denying that the giant orange turd lost in 2020, or that 06 Jan 2021 wasn't a day of love, or....
Since you mentioned your new pod's theme music, it reminds me of Jaws.

Not heroes. Enablers
Great post, and the dogs are a delight!
Bravo for the assistant US Attorney, now former US Attorney
