As Kara Swisher has pointed out “ The Trump had administration has replaced DEI with DAF. Dumb as fuck!”

What I’ve been wondering is we caught the classified materials on Signal - how much else is happening that we don’t learn about?

I would feel better about the good law firms if, rather than seeking a temporary restraining order vs. Trump/Musk/Miller, they were aiming for a permanent temporary suffocation order vs. Trump/Vance/Usha/Elon+the kid on his shoulders/Miller/ teenage press secretary. I do believe that most my fellow Canadians feel the same, eh?

How can we start a grass roots funding and processes for a billboard campaign, actually on billboards but also on all mediums of communications, even a book, that lists simply the lies complete with reference to prove HE said it, and simple rebuttal the lie? We need a format people don't have to look hard to see. We need concise writers, like Joyce Vance or so many other heroes of the truth, to put them in a book: a quick reference with less discussion and only very concise quotes of the lies and very concise, quick rebuttal.

Are we in a loop here, agreeing with one-another, 'preaching to the choir', finding comfort and satisfying agreement, but in this type of format never reaching those uninformed persons who need to see simple billboard messages or will continue to vote for authoritarians?

That's a good question Carol. Most of my friends are sick of me right now. I came on very strong during the election because I am a never-trumper. There is a serious come-to-Jesus teaching moment that needs to happen sooner than later.

The Designers of Project 2025 are not giving up or going away. They are using Rump the showman to work the crowds. He is not creating the EOs.

My bet is they give him a pile of EOs and his ego is lauded and praised, by the sycophants to get his agreement. It is a symbiotic relationship Vance/Thiel/Musk and Rump.

To attack America.

I do think they are afraid of masses of people resisting them, along with legal resistance AND others. We need the Others ~ journalists, former military leaders, former presidents.

Law firms need to push back. Now is the Time!

I think you all hit the basic notes on why Signal gate is breaking through but let me add another layer: everyone has rules to comply with at work. We all have a plethora of annual trainings about this, that and the other thing: OSHA, EEOC, GDPR, FCPA, whatever. A lot of people, completely agnostic of how they feel about these regulations, feel very strongly: follow the rules. We all follow the rules from the CEO to the mailroom and janitorial staff. It is a very basic sense of “Are you fucking serious, dude?”

And the answer is: no.

Edit: it’s hard for me to take seriously the concern over Democrats going too far left when AOC and Bernie are drawing crowds with a very holistic, pro-democracy and anti-oligarch platform. NOW, I do think this is a GREAT opportunity for literally anyone to go out there and shoot their shot, whether it’s someone we’ve never heard of or Slotkin, Spanberger, etc. But I’m giving “the left” some grace here because for all that gets dumped into their laps, at least they’re working politicians.

As for culture war issues, I agree they’re not campaign winners but if the Harris run is any indication, you can run far, far away from those and you still need to have a message because *Republicans campaign on those.* Pundits really need to revise their priors on this one.
