I was an adjunct teacher of economics for 12 years at local universities in their evening programs (day job was in corporate finance at a large company), and boy do I wish I could have articulated the human aspects of economics as well as Justin Wolfers does! I think I drew too many diagrams on the blackboard.
The problem isn’t that the world doesn’t know what Trump wants, the problem is that the only thing that Trump wants is to manipulate the markets so that he and his cronies can cash in on the market fluctuations that HE caused — and the photo op, of course.
Absolutely one of the best, most lucid explanations of modern economics - I want to share this with so many people. Justin Wolfers is, without a doubt, one of the best professors of economics in academia. I am so glad I got to hear/see this wonderful session. Thank you.

The tariffs change on a whim, the dates and countries also change with which ever way the wind blows. Every thing is a performance of bluster and extortion. Our news outlets cover it endlessly, like we need to spend all our time trying to figure out where this shit show is headed next.
Excellent show! I'm a nurse and scientist trying to understand why people vote certain ways and always say "the economy" is their number one concern. Justin is a great explainer!!
I wouldn’t buy an American car for anything. He wants us to buy American goods. I will buy an American bicycle. The other thing is I won’t buy anything on credit with the psychological administration in place.
Why does he want Americans to pay more for what we buy while he also screws us over with every other economic factor. Is he in war with America for Russia? Does he see the task to destroy us?
