At our house when we see somebody say something stupid that you can’t take back like Senator Mike Lee did on the tragic Minnesota assassinations, we say “Well, he pulled a Joni Ernst.” From a Democrat who lives in Iowa. Hope this goes viral and shames them both!

The shooter is so low that he also shot someone's dog, who did not survive despite medical care being given. Now I'm really pissed!

Lies are an all-consuming endeavor. Lies devour one’s time, energy and he who proclaims them. Those who regularly engage in this practice eventually do not realize that they are lying. Lie upon lie piles up and the entire project ultimately is so riddled with contradictions that the house of cards collapses. Marco Rubio’s claim that the administration knew nothing about Israel’s plans for attacking Iran is a case in point. 24 hours later, Rubio’s boss states exactly the opposite. He did have knowledge of the plan. Rubio, Trump and the rest of the cabinet engage in more than the Russian firehose of disinformation. Trump’s administration engages in a Firestorm of Lies. Their credibility has been destroyed by their own actions. Trust is the foundation of human cooperative endeavor. Without trust we cannot build grand projects, fly to the moon or even purchase goods with “Money”. We all trust that each one of us believes in the value of money. These bits of paper are more than bits of paper which are exchangeable for goods and services. They are a foundational principle upon which society stands and which is based on trust. Lying erodes trust and destroys the fabric of society. Eventually lies devour themselves. They become unsustainable. Yes, we need national rituals, history to celebrate and even myths to bring us together in common purpose. But in order to do that, we need to stop telling lies. Trump’s party and the other party could start the process, but they won’t. It will be dependent upon We The People to re-build this foundation.

“This is what happens when Marxists don’t get their way.” Maybe Mike Lee’s message is more sinister than we think. Maybe he knows the gunman is not a Marxist. Maybe the Marxists are the problem abortion, pro labor, pro government support systems? After all every day Trump vilifies the Marxist democrats! Quite possibly Lee issued a warning to democratic officials, this is what happens to you Marxists, you also could end up dead.

Mike Lee should be removed from the Senate. This is not acceptable from our elected officials. We do have free speech (think we still do), but that doesn’t mean there are no consequences of speech.

Mike Lee started as a lobbyist for a nuclear waste company to bring radioactive waste to Utah. Throughout all his time in the Senate, Lee has remained a lobbyist at heart, doing everything he can to destroy the environment and crush our freedoms. Mike Lee has transformed himself into the nuclear waste he peddled all those years ago.

Another projection is a confession…

Who believes the lies coming from Republicans? The only violence we’ve been witnessing has come from MAGA, led by their violent President who threatens the GOP Congress of unleashing his followers on them if they don’t fall in line. And because Republicans are cowards, they fall in line.

We’ve seen Jan. 6. Trump didn’t mind if his VP was hung by his supporters! Who would believe this lunatic who went after Democratic lawmakers was a Democrat? Nuts.

I could have predicted that conspiracy theorists would use the "No Kings" flyers as "evidence" for a Democratic assassin. After all, their folks have no trouble roaming around tearing down flyers from telephone poles because they don't want people to see them. 🙄

I think Mike Lee qualifies for arrest as an accessory after the fact to the murders and attempted murders of Democratic legislators, or maybe "before the fact" since he implicitly gives permission for "more of the same." (I also thought Sarah Palin should have been charged in the Gabby Giffords killing spree, for the same reason: Palin promoted a photo of Gabby with a target on her face. If anybody had never had the guts and honesty to stand up to the earliest evils of these people we might have avoided this crisis of murder malice and mayhem from the magatrump party.)
