Aw, come on Charlie. MAGA was a winner again this week. 💩💩💩💩

But this Threads post made my day. https://www.threads.com/@marco.foster/post/DKU0a8euKL2

The TACO thing really got under the Orange Baboon's skin. He really, really hates it which made my week.

I feel really sorry for the lawyers that have to go into court with nothing and try and make a case out of nothing. Has to be very demeaning and have them questioning why they went to law school. That said, it was really nice to see that what goes around comes around with The Federalist Society. I wonder what happens now if TACO needs to nominate a Justice or for his Federal judge nominations?

I'm glad that Putin is finally pissing on TACO's leg and telling him it's raining. Not that TACO is learning anything from it, just that it's nice to know that dictators treat each other like shit.

I wish I could see how historians will treat this period in our history. That said, given the interWebs, there will be plenty of people writing on Substack, Medium and other outlets that will make it a very well documented period.

Mad Musk got the data he was after.

The financial guys gave away the market manipulation gimmick when they went public with TACO.

(Aren’t we all glad he keeps chickening out? Not because it embarrasses him, but because it is being realistic. The mistakes aren’t the flip flopping, but the original idea. Now if he would only flip on the National Security fools, his abductions, etc. we need more changing his mind, not stubbornness in the face of reason.).

The thing about The TACO and Putin: Is it a consensual relationship?

Trump and Musk are only a distraction from those wanting to implement Project 2025. Refocus, refocus, refocus on Stephen Miller, Russell Vought, Peter Thiel, and the Heritage Foundation plus religious groups that support spiritual warfare. Are you only looking for click bait?

Wah, wah, Dan Bongino.

Bongino and Patel are out of their element and completely unprepared to manage either the depth or breadth of the assignments they sought and have accepted. It is impossible to feel empathy for either of them for any reason. Irony lives, however: the chorus of critics whom they encouraged through their podcasts, public pronouncements, and books has turned against them for not producing that which did not occur.

Only one relief is available: Resignation.

Bongino has discovered that sadly, doing an actual job is so much harder than sitting on the sidelines taking shots at the people doing the actual jobs. It's all fun and games until you find a fool dumb enough to put you in charge and now - Waaaah Waaaah Waaaah

Mr. Cattogio has a terminology problem. He says conservative 3 times. 2 of those times he should have said Trump Cultists. Mr. Trump and his partisans are not conservative in any accepted sense. Trade policy not conservative. Appointments not conservative. Neither is he liberal. He is a tin pot demagogue. And a Taco.

Cattogio isn't alone. Trump misappropriated the label "conservative" at the very beginning of his hostile takeover campaign. The grave mistake of the pundits who once could have been accurately called "Conservative" was letting him and his cronies and the fawning cultists get away with it.

I'd grant them "radical" - tear it all down, burn it to the ground - perhaps "right wing" in the same sense as the Altar and Throne or Blood and Soil factions who claim some transcendent, essentially divine right of a minority to rule. But "Conservative"? Never!

Could not agree more. Not only has this been eating at me nomenclature wise but hearing moderate non-Trump Democrats being called radical left socialists by DJT and most recently that bright light Stephen Miller calling disagreeing judges Communists, palls. The name calling tactic is par for the course, of course, but inaccurate, bullying, grade school behavior. What it Sanders who said? "of course I call myself a Democratic Socialist, it keeps them from calling me WORSE things".

Isn’t Musk a read world example of following the Atlas Shrugged worldview?

I enjoyed Atlas Shrugged, I only single it out because some act like it’s a real reflection of how talent, quality, and skill. The special people are immediately excellent at everything.

Musk is undoubtedly excellent at some things, but as we have seen it takes work, study, and practice to be excellent at media and politics.

Honestly, the presence of Andrew Sullivan, Francis Fukuyama and David Frum on this list is galling considering that every single one of them played the role of enablers cheerleaders and occasional truthbenders for the forces that have brought us to this point.

The ability to change and evolve towards enlightenment is a unique asset that many do not have and are seemingly unable to acquire. We all make necessary changes in a changing world. But to evolve one’s sincere and honest belief and because of the changed belief, to change one’s thoughts and actions towards an improved humanity, is admirable. It is not a weakness when it results in a kinder, more moral universe.

Judge not lest ye be not judged

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged;

and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

When do we stop describing the Republican Party, otherwise known as the Grand Old Party, as a conservative organization. Today it does not embrace conservative ideals as we have known them. The Republican Party should, this day forward, be consistently described as a fascist organization.

Senator Ernst had her own “Let them eat cake” moment with her nihilistic statement of “We’re all going to die”.

The cruelty is the point.

I will be sending money to her opponent in the next election.
