Charlie, just a question? Where are the Christians? I mean the Baptists, the Methodist, the Episcopalians, the Presbyterians, The Congregationalists, the Catholics, etc. Why don’t they speak out? Trump (if he is a Christian I am the Virgin Mary) and his MAGA White Christian Nationalists are the antithesis of the Jesus of the Christian Bible. Trump is an insult to the teachings of Jesus. Isn’t Trump’s use of their god blasphemy? He can believe what he wants protected by first amendment, but why not speak out and challenge their image of Christianity?
Trump is well-known as a malignant narcissist. Gaslighting is what these horrible people do. It is intended to confuse and break the spirit of the narcissist’s victim. The only way to rid yourself of a narcissist who has latched on to you is to completely separate from them. And that’s what we have to do—vote him out by a margin sufficient to dampen any plans he has to contest the election. And then, hopefully, he will be spending some time behind bars with the other criminals.
I am curious. There were shots fired at Trump’s golf course. We know that these shot’s weren’t fired by Routh. Were these warning shots by secret service? Where did they go? And if the agent fired live ammo at Routh, why did he miss and why would he fire not knowing if others might be in the line of fire if he missed his target?
I was informed by “online experts” that local cops could not fire warning shots during the first incident, but that the cops could only run back to their squad cars to radio in about the shooter in Pennsylvania. I also question why the cop who tried to climb to the roof dropped to ground when seen. Why wasn’t he prepared to take a shot when he could see on the roof? Why didn’t he try to draw a shot? That would have alerted the Secret Service, no?
I don’t believe in conspiracy theories, but a lot of questions remain unanswered and answers we have gotten don’t make much sense.
This is what happens when you radicalize supporters, they believe anything put in front of them because their "Gods" are the only truth tellers. The right seems to have a whole lot more of them, but the left doesn't do too bad either in this regard. It's just the ones on the left seem more mellow. 😉🤣
But your tale reminded me of the old joke about the kid that kills his parents and then throws themselves on the mercy of the Court because they are an orphan.
I remember two years ago when things were ramping up about the ‘24 election … I said “Dear Lord, let me live long enough to cast a vote for Biden, puh-leez!”
Here we are - 49 days away. I never thought I would survive the journey through hell, but we got a new candidate out of all the turmoil that is so promising, I’m believing everyday that this is the sign that our country is going to be alright.
Back in June I kept telling my friends who were more anxious than I was - “it’s five months yet, anything could still happen.” We were uplifted after the debate. I STILL think something more COULD HAPPEN to change the course of history to save our Republic. I’m being that optimistic!

Just a nitpick. The attacks on President Ford took place in 1975. He wasn't campaigning for re-election quite that early.
