Chaos, lawlessness, and disorder was Bone Head 1.0, and what should have been expected in Bone Head 2.0!

Have “We the People” totally forgotten and given up on the US Constitution? The Executive is supposed to be an EQUAL branch of the government, NOT to have the powers this administration is pursuing!

Does Abrego-Garcia's lawyer have proof of life? Anyhoo, great piece as usual, Charlie! (And I'm glad Eli is home and up to his usual shenanigans.) Those poll numbers give me hope, but they only matter if people get out and vote, and if there is another election and if that election is free and fair. But mostly, I want those numbers to grow and that they result in growing protests across the land.

Charlie - This is all interesting but can you spend time focusing on how Democrats can create credible messaging and candidates focused on the economy? None of this matters if D's can't create a winning platform. And that starts with (likely) a return to some form of Clintonism were the economy isn't a third tier subject or only approached as a massive spending project. Being against Trump is not enough.

So, the Krebs thing looks to me like a big fat swing for the next elections. They're going to claim every loss is due to their bullshit fraud. And without people of integrity in charge, how will any of us be able to trust the results? How do we know every spineless Republican won't put a finger on the scale to avoid the maga lunatics? Maybe it's time for the Dems to start talking about holding people accountable and taking names down in public. Even if they don't do it, they might scare these cowards into covering their arses from all sides.

Polls will not reflect 2028 elections, because Trump-MAGA are working hard to fix them. Expect to see lot more Trump-MAGA partisan polls appearing, to cover the election corruption. Think of a would be dictator who has not gone after elections?

Hmmm, “Federalist No. 47” applies to President 47. What did James Madison know back when he wrote this? Prescient, indeed.

Trump's house of cards WILL come down and will be brought down by the less informed right as soon as Trump's policies hit their pocket books. Just beautiful dog.

Thanks Charlie. Great summary of the week and some of its consequences for Mr Trump and for the world. Could you spend some time on social security Medicare and Medicaid? Rachel Maddow had a segment on her show last night that was truly terrifying. Thanks and glad to see Eli home and comfortable.♥️

The corrupt Supreme Court at work again. I call bs on whether or not the Court could have ordered Abrego Garcia’s return. A previous Supreme Court ORDERED Nixon to turn over tapes. If the US is paying for prisoners to be held in that Salvadoran hellhole, why can the US not tell that prison to turn Abrego Garcia over to US authorities? This administration is going to be responsible for lots of deaths, but that wouldn’t be any different than when #45 let 100’s of thousands die needlessly of COVID.

I get the Mr Krebs revenge. Wrong as it is. But what in actual hell, heaven or earth did Canada do to the US to cause these tariffs. No renegotiation of NAFTA 2.0 or whatever you call it there doesn’t cut it. We will NEVER be USAmericans. We would have never separated when you did, fought in 1812, built Fort Henry and other defences. So you, a US citizen tell me , seriously what did Canada do? We will never view you the same. Except, maybe Hawaii as they weren’t just threatened they were annexed without their consent just as your president is saying he will do to Greenland and Canada. Interestingly not Mexico. Why is that?. Do explain why we’re at odds with rationale.

As a Canadian I read, but gotta be real, I read you to counter as much as I can. The US is no longer an ally. It is what it is.

Are the pollsters asking voters about their feelings toward insider trading? How Trump facilitated and likely benefited from his on-again, off-again tweets/policies? All those billions, so little time.
