Not that it matters but I will never forgive sen. Gillibrand

I’ve liked this. Despite, what Canadians, Newfoundlanders, Australians, New Zealanders and Indians would have said then and now say about that cartoon.

As someone who has the been the victim of sexual assault, I could not be more proud of Sen Gillibrand for standing up for all of us. Silent, moving on, living with what was done to us.

Did it move too fast? Sure.

It is not about who they are. It is about who we are.

And, we are people who hold others to account. I am still waiting on Bill Clinton.

Charlie; as a retired professional artist, I noticed Eli looking at the drawing of Pete. As artist who draws pencil portraits, it would be an honor to do Eli and Auggie. They are beautiful dogs with character!

I do have to give jackass credit, since he’s been elected he is rounding up all the rapists and sexual predators… and nominating them for his cabinet or key positions… glad to see Gaezt backing out, leaves room for Kari Lake or Marjorie TG or Ronald McDonald... 🥸and Mike Johnson's biggest concern is what bathroom people can use...

You're right about Trump bringing minions that mirror his unfitness for office and personal reprehensible behavior.

But in all that he's also bringing a group of people that are looking to return this country to its pre WWII isolationism. And there's a danger he makes this change a fait-accompli as we're focused solely on his efforts to create an autarchy.

I wrote more about this at https://liberalandlovingit.substack.com/p/trump-is-proposing-a-very-different

RFK, Jr? Something is wrong with him, physically, emotionally and socially unhinged. As for the others, they’re just plain evil.

RFK Jr. was a heroin addict from the age of 15 to 30. There is no doubt that this affected his brain development.

I do think humor might be our best weapon to keep us sane while they dig their graves with all the power they now have. We need Monday through Friday Night Live. SNLis no longer enough.

Let’s not make it easy for the “sane”Republicans. Let them all sleep in this bed they made.

Taking the high ground is completely lost upon those who don’t know it exists. We seem to be exalting pond scum, setting new standards for acceptability. It's normalized malignancy at its worst. Thanks for calling it out.

Pete...I feel your grief...we lost our Loki in July 2023 at age 14 and Mojo in August 2024 at age 12, and my 97 yr old Dad in-between. My last words to my Dad was with our latest Husky rescue, Bodi, coming back from his first vet visit with us, which was appropriate as Dad imbedded in me a deep connection with dogs, beginning when I was one. Glad you have your other buddies to love on.

Thanks for telling it like it is. What a disgusting bunch of friends Trump has. The white Christians are forcing the entire country to wallow in their filthy choice.

Wasn’t Sinema instrumental in ousting Franken? Regardless, it was a travesty. Especially when looking at the moral degenerates being touted by the rapist-in-chief to lead our most sensitive departments

Al Franken never should have left the Senate. But honestly, the dog picture lifted me up after reading about all of Trump’s depravity.

To borrow from the rapper Eminem where he says he wants to be the “Bruce Lee of loose leaf” referring to verbal take downs, you definitely have a black belt in that category. “Hydrocephalic human skid mark” …that is brutal!

Thank you for sharing the WWII era political cartoon and of course the emotional support dog pictures. Eli gazing at Pete’s drawing is almost too much to handle 😭
