Well now, did I say, Bezos (dead to me) and his sleazy tramp bride are to rot in hell? If not, I meant to. Bezos (may he be buried in Venice soon, if he drifts, who cares?) has taken himself from resistance hero to lick spittle fluffer in mere months. X-wife well rid of him. Semi-decent human being to sickening, pustulent, oligarch in double quick time, some magic trick, call Penn and Teller. . . . . .Gilded age indeed. Read the Chernow, Ron's wrong about the Authorship thing but it is a helluva book. 950 great pages. Then a bit of at stumble. Ah well, even Jove nods.

As to our socialist in NYC, is that because Cuomo was so awful or was it because Trump is so awful or is it because Adams is so awful? Is Chuck Shumer going to write a very stern letter? The (D) party reminds me a lot of the 1980's version with Jesse Jackson et all. Actually, this really shouldn't be that hard at all if the primary interests weren't in all these jerks seeking personal power instead of actually seeking to help Americans and a lot of immigrants in finding a better life.

That I don't see.

“Democratic” socialism is not the same thing, full stop. Look at how much he won by and the Jewish ppl who support him. Why do you think that is?

Steve Vladeck had a good analysis of the USSC decision yesterday, as cited by Charlie. Y’all should read the whole thing. Another good, concise, and non-hysterical analysis is this one from NPR:

“What is birthright citizenship and what happens after the Supreme Court ruling?”

https://www.npr.org/2025/06/27/nx-s1-5448863/birthright-citizenship-supreme-court-ruling

Note that the plaintiffs filed a class action lawsuit within 2 hours of the USSC decision being rendered. Imho, that’s what they should have done to begin with.

What is wrong with our news people. When hegseth started berating the newspeople why do they not turn it back on him. They should all walk out of any news briefings that turn into blaming news for all the lies. What!!! They are the liars and it’s getting old listening to all the bullshit about hard working reporters when it is those in office who are spewing the lies. I’m just sick of it

The Mamdani election is telling us we must change. It is telling us both parties lost their way. But the change he promises can’t happen until the media investigates our schools, which were to uphold democracy but instead became an uninvestigated fascist enterprise. See WhiteChalkCrime.com and EndTeacherAbuse.org. We need the media and ACLU to look into it, something they’ve neglected to

Oy vey. The winter of our discontent slipped into spring and has now bled into summer. Perhaps the demons will tire by fall and leave our desiccated carcasses alone.

I am not normally prone to conspiracy theories, but I just had a very weird thought. What if the trump vs CASA was a setup right from the start. What if Alito and/or Roberts worked with the DOJ lawyers to craft this case just so the court could make this odd ruling. Barret got to write it to relieve the MAGAt threats against her. This would make Alito and Kavanaugh's little class action thing a trap. I have little legal knowledge so no idea how is best to proceed, but I believe those that do need to step carefully for the supreme court is either a court of cowards, or a court of fellow travelers to fascism, either way it is not good.

I'm not prone to conspiracy theories either, but "Citizens United" seems to be the result of a carefully crafted series of cases that gradually led to selling the government to the highest bidder. When money was ruled speech in an earlier case, the die was cast. I suspect those clever folks over at the Federalist Society have more such tricks already in play, and six of the Justices were specifically selected to further that agenda.

I am not normally prone to conspiracy theories either because they explain how the entire world works and the "powers that be" control it, which are usually Jews. But this is very limited to the judiciary and their conservative confederates who have been pushing the Unitary Executive Theory for decades. A very small world, so entirely possible E. A.

One thing that would aid in saving your future Democracy is the restriction on Political Donations by Individuals and Corporations.

In Canada we have a maximum Contribution of $1,750/person.

Ie...people like Musk would be limited to this amount as well...this in the face of his exorbitant donation~contribution to the Trump Campaign of $250M in the 2024 Election.

It would limit the collusion between Government and Wealthy Oligarchs and Corporations...such that the average Citizen are served equally in the passage of Laws and Policies...this with little or no bias and it would be supervised by Elections USA, the IRA and the Dep't. of Justice etc...

link below to Canada's Political Donation Restrictions.

In the U.S., the maximum contribution is about $3,000 per person (and that's after tax dollars). In Citizens United, the Supreme Court ruled that since "money was speech" and free speech cannot be limited, unlimited funds could be spent on "political action committees." What's insulting is that those funds are typically tax-deductible business expenses!

And I am ready to do away with public opinion polls. They only matter to the media. They clearly hold no sway with the Congress or the Supreme Court - both determined to jam as much into the face of popular will as they can, time permitting.
