Let’s face it. About 36% of Americans are not good people. They are unethical. They call themselves “Christians”, but are racists, rapists, child-abusers, polluters, liars, thieves. And, they are the people who support Donald Trump because he is just like they are. They admire, even worship, Donald Trump because he showed the world that a criminal can become President of the United States! And this makes them feel good about themselves! They love Donald Trump, and they will vote for him no matter what! Is that enough for Trump to win the Presidency? I don’t think so, but Republicans are very clever cheaters, so maybe.

I’ve come to understand djt gives permission for each of his followers to be the worst person they can be. Do you want to look down on brown or Black people? djt does and so can you. Do you want to be abusive to women. djt does and so can you.
And, as you pointed out, there are no new tactics. It’s the same script - only the names are changed to menace the innocent. And, of course, his favorite play: projection. Everyone is as corrupt as djt only more so.
