Charlie the mystery is easy to explain. Hanania is a longstanding racist who makes his money in the right-wing space. He wrote for white supemacist sites for some time under a pseudonym and clearly supports white ideals.
He was never going to vote for a mixed race woman.
We were telling them constantly that they had 4 years to prepare to do what they wanted to do the first term and were prevented from doing by saner individuals. Anyone paying attention could have predicted that there would be no sanity this time and the only qualification for anyone this team would be unquestioned loyalty to the toddler in chief.
The market is ignoring the tariffs and having a up day. Why? Because the Republicans and the White House are spouting the 50 to 70 Countries are coming in to negotiate. This from the Republican Party calling roughly 300 days “A DAY” and a man that lies over and over. Lies are not a negative to him. It’s just part of the message. We need reporters to ask for a list of Countries that have or are making appointments. This can be verified on the other end. It’s calmed the markets but what happens if this is just another lie?
Has anybody found it? Outrageous to listen to these people over the weekend talk about how people shouldn’t be bothered by the stock market. They should have money in their savings!!
The corporations and the Republicans have fought against raising a minimum wage to a living wage for years …
And now they expect people to have money in their savings when they’ve had a hard time making ends meet with the basic expenses !!
And Fox News is right there, manipulating and gaslighting telling people to “calm down it will be OK” as everyone is protesting and speaking out against what’s happening they’re still in the business of gaslighting people that what they’re seeing happening is not really happening and nothing to worry about.
They’ve been doing this for years
It is a tactic. It’s an emotional manipulative, abusive tactic where everything is minimized and mocked and ridiculed so that nobody organizes to stand up against something horrible happening.
And they’re doing it all over again .

One issue that needs to also be addressed at the same time as everything else is this Christian nationalism that has been growing in this country within the Republican Party, coupled with white supremacy, racism, bigotry, and misogyny.

This country was formed for people to worship or to not worship.
It was created with an absolute separation of church and state which has been slow slowly infringe upon and infiltrated into every level of our government . Our present speaker of the house Mike Johnson claims the Bible is what he follows yet nothing they’re doing has anything to do with the Bible and what Jesus would do and the basic tenants of Christianity.
Which always has been basically about character, integrity, and honor to help our fellow man

I have stated before nothing has been more offensive, outrageous, and blasphemous than to see Maga people holding posters of the image of Jesus Christ in a red Maga hat with the slogan
“ make America pray again”
Prayer emotional, spiritual maturity is a personal journey and cannot be dictated by the government it cannot be controlled
It has nothing to do with government or governance or legislation for the good of the American citizens and our country .
But somehow religion has become a litmus test in the political world and it’s craziness.
Why are churches not paying taxes, especially on their real estate why are they not? They are very politically engaged and they should be paying taxes.
It used to be that if you called yourself a Christian that meant you had character, integrity, and honor!
Not anymore
People that have character on integrity are doing good in the world and they do stand up for injustice.
Let’s end this craziness
We need to get back to absolute separation of church and state and restore our democracy, and our constitution and our government and everything about America that has been taken for granted.
Another side point is about the government stopping research medical research.
The corporations are not going to do this vital research for the health and well-being of all of us Americans.
When they do, it has been proven that they manipulate the results to sell their product.
Cigarettes is a classic example.
To take away funding and the government doing research scientific research to fight, cancer, dementia, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and every other important research is going on is outrageous and will hurt every one of us.
RFK announcing that he wants to take Florida out of the drinking water is insane! He’s not a scientist he’s not a doctor and he’s following far right fringe scientific conspiracy!
Last weekend, Americans got out in the millions to finally stand up to all of this, and it needs to keep happening along with everybody, such as Charlie that is writing the truth and speaking out as he has been.
Trump will begin to negotiate tariffs in the next two weeks, winners and losers and dozens of new diplomatic adversaries will be the end result. This is, of course, his new corruption of American ideals. He sees himself as mad king Donald on his throne granting favors, or maybe The Godfather "keep your friends close, but your enemies closer" making offers they can't refuse. This pathology is apparently contiguous as the GOP sits comfortably on it's collective ass, wondering how bad this can get for their re-elections. We can only hope that legacy media and a few brave Republicans grow a backbone, but it always comes down to "the people", it just may be too late.
Who knew it would be this bad? You knew. Sane conservatives everywhere knew. Clear-eyed liberals absolutely knew. All of us in mental health knew. Historians knew. Lawyers who haven’t corrupted themselves knew. Political analysts still willing to resist and tell the truth knew. Countries all over the world knew. In the face of the scorn of the insane, we tried to warn others, but to no avail. And now, we must ALL endure the enshitification (my new favorite word, Charlie) of a once-great nation. Not a perfect nation by any means, but the nation with the greatest potential to be a beacon of strength and hope for the world.
